Tessa Boyd-Scott, whose name means Gatherer, was born May 7th at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI. Tessa passed peacefully in the arms of her loving parents Dee Boyd and Jessie L. Scott III a brief 10 hours later.
Tessa’s life was a brief gift. However, as we prepared for her arrival and now as we say our goodbyes, news of her conception brought old friends and family members together who haven’t spoken to each other in years.
Tessa is survived by her maternal grandparents Lorraine and Marvin Boyd of Patterson, NJ, paternal grandmother Barbara Scott of Zachary, LA, paternal grandparents Linda and Jessie Scott Jr. of Baker, LA., and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from across the country and around the world.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to consider giving a donation to the March of Dimes. As pioneers in incubation for infants, life prolonging technology was available when Tessa needed it. www.marchforbabies.org
The memorial service will be available online, Tuesday, May 18th at 2 PM ET. Where Tessa will gather us together once more. A copy of the printed program is available at https://tinyurl.com/42bcbsww
